Our local robin popped in to say hello while I was putting out some bird food. I thought it would be silly not to snap a few quick shots of him!

Arrows
Took a trip to Southampton last week. Mission objectives were varied, but most important was to take a trip to Hythe, on the ferry.
My Dad's ashes are spread on Southampton Water, near the main buoy and he used to take the trip to Southampton daily.

St Pauls and the cranes
Took this recently while wandering through London. I'm very pleased with how it's come out here. I like the stark forms of the cranes agains the sky.
Perhaps it's a bit underexposed.

Luncheon
Took this piccie the other day and I thought I'd blog it, as I'm very pleased with it. It was one of those moments that was worth capturing. I'm very pleased with the little bit of D&B I've done to it, just enhancing the lighting a little.
Lighting is key.

A very blue palette
Just been playing around with my newest camera, the diminutive Sony NEX-5. I don't think a camera has impressed me more than this one - though I did have fairly low expectations.
Might have to do a review.
Anyways, the pic is of pallets. I think these particular ones are what the sand arrives on in Milton Keynes shopping centre (explanation: we have an indoor 'beach', for kids during the summer).

Milton Keynes Sunset
Took this out on a cycle ride recently - a lovely and interesting sky. Taken with my canon S90 compact digital camera.

Westminster reflections 1
I love my Canon S90 compact camera. I don't care how good the Nikon D700 was in low light, or how many megapixies the 5Dmk2 has, because the little and unassuming S90 is by far and away the best digital camera ever produced. This is for the same reason that the Rollei 35 is my favourite 35mm film camera.
I've noticed some of my recent flickr uploads have been a bit pants. I don't know why, but I think some of my creative spirit has been sapped in recent months. I'm looking to re-engage it and I felt that the Weston Super Mare shoot was pretty acceptable.
Lego
Going a bit back in time, to our easter-ish trip to Barcelona... I took the opportunity to try to capture the amazing shapes and colours of some of Barcelona's great architecture.
Even the not-so-great is still very interesting!
PIng Pong. erm... Table Tennis!
At work, doing some high-speed photographic tests of table tennis serves. I was playing around with my camera and snapping a few things... I love the moment here.
Waspish
My final submission from my Weston Super Mare trip. Though I intended to primarily use the Canon 5Dmk2 for video, I have found it an excellent still camera (as one would expect). For me though, it's a little too heavy for photographic work alone.
Starburst
Recently I was asked to photograph an event in Weston Super Mare, but I also took the opportunity to do some general snap-taking through the town. The weather was glorious and the skies were a beautiful, rich blue.
This is actually the hub and spokes from a pleasure-wheel.

This is film
Loving this shot at the moment... taken last year, shot wiv' ma' Rolleiflex 2.8C Medium Format camera, using Fuji Velvia film (long may it continue to reign supreme).
Film has so much more depth, texture and colour than digital. This image doesn't even do the actual slides justice - You'd have to see it on a projector to really get the full effect.
Digital is OK for snaps and high ISO, but life is better captured in analogue mediums.
